The Cress C1240D Dual furnace - designed for those who desire a hardening furnace, plus a separate furnace for tempering or drawing, all within a Minimum floor space.
The two chambers allow for immediate tempering or drawing after quench without waiting for the hardening furnace to cool to the lower temperature required.

TEMPERATURE CONTROLS: Both furnace chambers are equipped with their own Cress Electronic Controls, Chroml-alumel thermocouples and contractors Autotuning Microprocessor Based controls are accurate to 1/4 of 1%. A switch is provided to turn off elements when either door is opened and the fan stops when lower door is opened.

SPECIAL FEATURES of the C1240D Furnace: Space is provided for air circulation between chambers and underneath the lower chamber for storage of a quench tank. Lower unit is equipped with a stainless steel, centrifugal type fan to circulate the air and provide very close temperature gradients. Fan is operated by 1/4 HP motor.

GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: The dual chamber furnace Case is constructed of galvanized sheet metal and mounted in angle steel frame. The upper chamber door rises vertically, the lower chamber door swings to the side.
