Cress Manufacturing C136 General Use Assaying Furnace
The Cress Model C136 Assaying Furnace is designed for the shop, laboratory or factory where temperatures from 300°F to 2250°F are required. This line is used for heat treating metals, ashing processes, assaying and all types of testing applications.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLS: Auto-tuning microprocessor-based controller
ELEMENTS: High temperature iron-aluminum alloy wire elements are coiled and mounted on the side walls in porcelain plates.
The C136 assaying furnace has no bottom element and the side elements are raised 1.75″ above the floor to prevent burnout due to spillage.
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: This Cress small assaying furnace, similar to the C133 General Use Laboratory Furnace, has a case constructed of heavy gauge sheet steel and finished in gray hammertone. The furnace door is counter-balanced and pivots away from the operator when opening for safety purposes. All of the furnace walls and door are constructed of the finest quality insulating fire brick, backed by 1800°F block insulation. This heat treat furnace comes complete with cord and plug.
SAFETY SWITCH: These models come equipped with a door safety switch. When the door is opened, the elements are disconnected from the power source.
